Short-Leaved Stonecrop (Sedum 'Brevifolium')

Short-Leaved Stonecrop

Sedum brevifolium

A diminutive, slow-spreading evergreen stonecrop forming a tight mound 1 to 3 inches tall, with tiny bead-like blue-gray leaves often dusted in mealy white and blushed pink to red in strong sun. It demands full sun and lean, very fast-draining soil with little water, resenting wet feet. Small white star-shaped flowers rise on short stems in summer. Ideal for rock gardens, troughs, crevices, green roofs, and detailed plantings between pavers where a delicate, fine-textured carpet is wanted.
