Sedum hispanicum
A very low, fine-textured stonecrop forming a flat carpet 1 to 3 inches tall, with slender blue-gray to gray-green leaves that pick up pink and lavender tones in sun and cold. It thrives in full sun with low water and excellent drainage, performing well in lean soils, and it self-sows readily to knit in. Soft white to pale pink star-shaped flowers open in early to midsummer. A strong performer for green roofs, rock gardens, narrow parking strips, erosion control on slopes, and seams between pavers.
