Korean Grass (Zoysia tenuifolia)

Korean Grass

Zoysia tenuifolia

A slow-growing, fine-bladed warm-season grass that forms a low, mounding mat 1 to 2 inches tall, knitting tightly together over time and often developing an undulating, cushioned surface. It performs best in full sun with low to moderate water, going tan and dormant in cold weather and greening up with warmth. Grown for its dense, mossy green texture rather than flowers, it tolerates light foot traffic once established. Ideal as a no-mow or low-mow lawn substitute, for filling between stepping stones and pavers, edging pathways, and creating textured ground cover in parking strips and small courtyards.
