Erodium reichardii
This cranesbill, also called alpine geranium or heronsbill, is a compact, low-mounding evergreen perennial reaching only 3 to 6 inches tall and spreading to about a foot, forming a tidy dense cushion of small scalloped dark green leaves. It prefers full sun to light shade with moderate water and good drainage, performing best in mild coastal and Mediterranean conditions. Small five-petaled flowers in white to pink, often delicately veined, appear over a long spring-to-fall season. Use it as a small-scale groundcover, in rock gardens, along path edges, or tucked between stones and in containers.
