Gazania rigens
Green Leaf Gazania is a clumping evergreen perennial reaching about 6 to 10 inches tall and spreading to a foot or more, with bright green strap-shaped foliage that distinguishes it from the silver-leaved trailing types. It demands full sun and is strongly drought tolerant once established, thriving in well-drained, even sandy or poor soils and tolerating heat and salt spray. Large daisy flowers in warm tones open through much of the year, closing in low light. Use it for sunny borders, mass color plantings, parking strips, and tough low-water beds.
