Silver Thyme

Thymus argenteus

A low, bushy evergreen culinary thyme reaching six to ten inches tall and spreading about twelve inches wide, with small aromatic green leaves edged in creamy silver-white variegation. It grows best in full sun with well-drained soil and low to moderate water once established, holding its bright variegated color through the year. Small pale lavender-pink flowers appear in early summer and attract bees, though the silvery foliage is the main interest. Use it for herb and kitchen-garden borders, edging, container and rock plantings, and low-water beds where bright variegated foliage adds contrast.
