Salvia x ‘Bee’s Bliss’
Bee’s Bliss is a vigorous, low-growing groundcover sage that stays under 1 to 2 feet tall while spreading 6 to 8 feet wide, forming a dense mat of aromatic, gray-green foliage. It thrives in full sun with low water and good drainage, tolerating heat and poor soils once established. Soft lavender to lilac flower spikes rise above the foliage in spring, attracting bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Use it for slope stabilization, large-scale bank cover, and sweeping low-water plantings where its fast spread and erosion control are valued; it appreciates good air circulation in humid coastal sites.
