Armeria maritima ‘White’
A compact, evergreen perennial that builds neat cushions of fine, grasslike dark green foliage, reaching about 6 to 10 inches tall and 8 to 12 inches across. It performs best in full sun with low to moderate water and handles poor, sandy, sharply drained soils as well as salt and coastal wind. From spring into early summer it produces rounded clusters of crisp white flowers held on wiry stems above the clump. A clean choice for border edging, rock gardens, gaps between pavers and steppers, parking strips, and low-water coastal designs.
