Gazania rigens ‘Red’
This trailing gazania spreads into a low evergreen mat of silvery gray-green foliage, reaching roughly 6 to 8 inches tall and spreading 18 to 24 inches or wider. It demands full sun and is exceptionally drought and heat tolerant once established, performing in sandy, lean soils with only occasional water. Rich red daisy-like flowers cover the planting through the warm months and hold their color well in sun.
