Lantana montevidensis ‘Red’
A spreading evergreen ground cover that reaches 1 to 2 feet in height and trails 3 to 6 feet across, cascading effectively over slopes and walls. It requires full sun and only low to moderate water once established, tolerating heat, drought, and lean soils. This cultivar displays rich red to red orange flower clusters over an extended warm season bloom against fine, deep green foliage favored by butterflies. Use it for erosion control on banks, parking lot and median plantings, mass ground cover, and spilling over retaining walls.
