Lampranthus spectabilis ‘Purple’
A vigorous low-spreading succulent reaching about 12 to 18 inches tall and trailing 18 to 24 inches wide, with fleshy gray green leaves that hold up to heat and drought. It needs full sun, fast drainage, and minimal irrigation once rooted in, making it well suited to coastal and inland California conditions. From late winter into spring it produces masses of shimmering purple daisy-like flowers that open in full sun. Ideal for slopes, erosion control, parking strips, rock gardens, and low-water borders where bold seasonal color is wanted.
