Gazania ‘Burgundy’
A low-growing evergreen perennial forming tidy clumps about 6 to 10 inches tall and 12 to 18 inches wide, with silvery to green foliage. It is built for full sun and low to moderate water, tolerating drought, heat, and the sandy or poor soils common across Ventura County. The large daisy blooms open in a rich burgundy to wine red, often with a contrasting darker eye, carried from spring through fall. Use it on slopes, in sunny borders, along parking strips, and for erosion control where a deep-toned, water-thrifty groundcover is desired.
