Thymus herba-barona
Caraway thyme is a creeping evergreen groundcover growing 2 to 5 inches tall and spreading 12 to 18 inches wide, distinguished by glossy dark green leaves that release a strong caraway scent when brushed or crushed. It bears small rose-pink to lavender flowers in summer that attract bees. The plant needs full sun and sharp drainage, is drought tolerant once established, and tolerates light foot traffic. Specify it for fragrant groundcover, slopes and rock gardens, planting between stones and pavers, herb borders, and low-water installations.
