Pelargonium peltatum
A trailing, semi-succulent evergreen perennial with brittle stems that cascade 2 to 3 feet or more, carrying glossy, ivy-shaped leaves. It performs best in full sun to light shade along the coast and inland with afternoon protection, on well-drained soil with moderate water. Clusters of single or double flowers in shades of red, pink, lavender, and white bloom heavily from spring into fall in mild climates. Use it for cascading over walls and raised beds, as a flowering groundcover on slopes and banks, and in hanging and container plantings.
