Mimulus ‘Jelly Bean Fiesta Marigold’
A compact hybrid shrubby monkeyflower growing about 1 to 2 feet tall and wide with sticky, resinous green leaves on a mounding evergreen frame. Its standout feature is large amber-red flowers edged in gold, carried from spring into summer, with repeat bloom encouraged by occasional shearing. Site it in full sun near the coast or light shade inland, in sharply drained soil with minimal summer irrigation after establishment. It works well in dry borders, slope plantings, rock gardens, and habitat beds, where the vivid bicolor blooms draw hummingbirds.
