Kurapia (Phyla nodiflora)

Kurapia

Phyla nodiflora ‘Kurapia’

A sterile, improved selection of lippia grown as a dense, fast-establishing ground cover that stays roughly one to two inches tall and spreads two to three feet per plant by rooting runners. It performs best in full sun, is deeply rooted and highly drought tolerant once established, and accepts a broad range of soils. Because the selection produces few to no viable seeds, it stays cleaner and less weedy than the species while showing only sparse small white-to-lilac flowers. Specify it as a low-water lawn alternative, for slope stabilization and erosion control, and for parking strips and large commercial groundcover plantings.
