Armeria maritima ‘Pink’
A tidy, evergreen perennial forming dense grassy tufts of fine, dark green foliage, mounding to roughly 6 to 10 inches tall and spreading 8 to 12 inches wide. It thrives in full sun with low to moderate water and tolerates lean, sandy, fast-draining soils, salt spray, and coastal exposure. In spring through early summer it lifts globe-shaped clusters of rose-pink flowers on slender stems well above the foliage. Useful as a front-of-border edger, in rock gardens, between pavers and steppers, in parking strips, and for low-water coastal plantings.
