Myoporum parvifolium ‘Pink’
A vigorous, low-growing evergreen ground cover that hugs the ground at 3 to 6 inches tall and spreads 6 to 9 feet wide, rooting as it trails to knit into a dense, soil-holding mat. It is notably drought tolerant once established, performing best in full sun with low to moderate water and tolerating most well-drained soils. The fine, bright green fleshy foliage is studded through spring and summer with small star-shaped pale pink flowers that are favored by bees. Use it for slope and bank stabilization, erosion control, parking strips, large commercial and roadside plantings, and broad sweeps where quick, durable coverage is needed.
