Drosanthemum floribundum
A succulent trailing iceplant-type groundcover that stays low at 3 to 6 inches tall and spreads 2 to 4 feet wide, rooting along the stems to form a fleshy mat. It demands full sun and fast-draining soil, is highly drought tolerant once established, and handles coastal and reflected heat with minimal water. A heavy spring flush of small shimmering pink daisy-like flowers blankets the glistening, dew-flecked foliage. Use it for slope and bank stabilization, erosion control, parkways, and low-water color masses where good drainage is assured.
