Campanula poscharskyana
A vigorous, trailing perennial ground cover that mounds 4 to 8 inches tall and spreads 1 to 2 feet or more, rooting as it travels to knit together quickly. It grows in full sun to part shade with moderate water and adapts to a range of soils, taking on more shade in hotter inland sites. From late spring into summer it is covered with star-shaped lavender-blue flowers held just above the heart-shaped green foliage. Ideal for cascading over walls and raised beds, filling between pavers and steppers, edging shaded borders, and softening rockeries and slopes.
