Dymondia margaretae
A flat, dense, mat-forming ground cover that stays under 2 inches tall and slowly spreads to form a tight silvery green carpet, the narrow leaves rolling to show woolly white undersides. Small yellow daisy flowers sit nearly flush with the foliage. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil, is drought tolerant once established, and handles light to moderate foot traffic, making it a popular lawn substitute. Excellent between stepping stones and pavers, in parking strips, and for low-water borders and small open areas.
