Vinca minor ‘Variegata’
A fine-textured evergreen ground cover with the trailing, rooting habit of common periwinkle, growing 3 to 6 inches tall and spreading 18 inches or more. Its small glossy leaves are edged with creamy white, adding brightness to shaded plantings and pairing well with darker foliage. It performs best in part to full shade with moderate water and bears lavender-blue flowers in spring. Well suited to shaded borders, slopes, and beds under trees as a weed-suppressing carpet, and for softening the edges of walls and planters.
